days. It is very affordable with minor work starting at
$3000.00 and the average procedure running in the $4000.00
- $6000.00 range.
The hair follicles in the back of the head are not
sensitive to DHT and can be moved to the hairline or areas
that are bald or thin. The new hair will continue to grow
forever and not fall out. The procedure lasts
approximately three hours and hair will begin to grow as
soon as two months.
What Causes Hair Loss?
Androgenetic (Male Pattern) Baldness is a progressive
disorder, where men gradually loose their hair throughout
their life. It is a result of genetically determined hair
follicles that are sensitive to the male hormoneDHT (dihydrotestosterone).
Women may not have this disorder, but they do suffer from
hair loss. This procedure can restore hair thinning for
women, as well as men. |

Before Surgery
The initial consultation is complimentary. A deposit is
required to schedule a surgical appointment, and is fully
returnable if the appointment is cancelled at least one
week in advance. Along with our low fees, we are in
partnership with several financial institutions to make
financing your procedure as easy and affordable as
possible. Plan not to work at least 1-2 days after the
surgery. If you were given a prescription in advance,
bring them with you and use as directed. Wear a button
down shirt and shampoo your hair the night and morning
before. |

After Surgery
Generally, the procedure will take approximately three
hours to complete. Patients are wide awake and can easily
drive home afterwards. There are no bandages required
after the procedure. All patients leave the office with
the procedure being virtually undetectable. Numbness may
occur, and patients may feel mild discomfort. Swelling is
normal in 50% of the cases and usually begins on the
second day after surgery. The overall healing process will
take 5 to 10 days.
12-14 days after surgery, the sutures are removed from the
back of the head. There are no bandages required after
surgery, the procedure is virtually undetectable
Results
This is a gradual process that spans many months, however
the transplanted hair will begin to grow as early as 2
months. Hair will continue to grow for life thereafter. |
